Windjammer Park is a 28.5 acre waterfront complex located in the downtown and waterfront district on SE City Beach Street. The city’s premier waterfront park provides shoreline picnic tables and barbecue pits with wind breaks, covered picnic facilities and kitchens for large groups, a gazebo and covered outdoor barbeque pit, 2 accessory buildings, a windmill landmark, exercise course, seasonal gardens.
The park also provides 2 playgrounds, 3 little league baseball fields, a practice field, 2 basketball courts, 3 tennis courts, 2 portable volleyball courts, and horseshoe pits.
A swimming lagoon is located in the center of the waterfront park with dock and slide, 2 wading pools, boat launch, and 2 public restrooms with showers.
The park includes a recreational vehicle park with 56 serviced sites and 30 non-serviced sites adjacent to the main park area, and the Oak Harbor Waterfront Trail extending from Freund Marsh natural area through the park and into the downtown district.
